10-12 August 2012 - Can you hear the bells (screams) Clarice?

Since I returned from my journey to London it has mostly been the usual daily life matters that have been consuming me.

S is still away and returns on Monday afternoon.  Our friend Stefan is driving over from Germany to join us.  We will then be heading to Lake Como and staying at the Villa D'este for Stephan's birthday.  The pictures on the website look amazing although the weather forecast is not quite as good.  Seems we may be in for some rain.  In fact I am listening to rain and thunder now and enjoying the flashes of lightning.

So what does a girl do to pass the time?  Needlework? Medieval tapestry? Baking?  I am glad you asked.  So this is what I have been doing to entertain myself:

  • taking the time to have a little sleep in - yes it can be all about me sometimes;
  • leisurely breakfast and a coffee from my friend Nespresso and his lover Frother - when those two get together it is a world of creamy goodness;
  • boring domestic stuff like ironing - luckily Laura (star) the ironing board is here to keep me company;
  • watching and finishing season 5 of Gossip Girl - I know it is trashy but I had watched the other four seasons and life was not complete without this one;
  • booking more travel - trip to Paris to meet my friends Penny and Darren;
  • Bit more cooking - gotta eat;
  • Having no alcohol - this was tough, I have no shame in drinking alone;
  • Cycling around the country side and taking in the sights (mountains and Swiss chalets), sounds (mostly bells) and the smells (mostly from the cows with bells).
I know I have been carrying on like a pork chop (or perhaps a beef fillet) about the bells.  Well I have a treat for you.  On my two wheel travels I have been desperately searching for some photogenic and audiophonic cows to share with you.  When I was out today I came across Clarabelle and Daisy who were desperate to show me their softer side and their full udders - the girls were saucy.  Here they are, aren't they moo-tiful and so coy!

So the three of us got to talking and after some reluctance they agreed to let me take some video of them.  Note also the beautiful country sound and the not so gentle sound from their bells!

These girls can go all night and they sure now how to shake it - I won't be able to look at a carton of milk the same way again!

So there you have it...a little insight into the last few days.  Coming up is our trip to Italy followed by Paris.  Won't tell you what else is to come....there needs to be some mystery.  And as they say on Gossip Girl....you know you love me, xoxo!
